About
The Master of Commerce (MCom) degree is an intellectually stimulating and rewarding, research-based, postgraduate programme. The primary purpose of the programme is to educate and train researchers who can contribute to the development of knowledge.
Through producing a dissertation under supervision, MCom students must be able to reflect critically on theory and its application in practice by accurately framing problems, asking interesting and important questions, as well as formulating appropriate strategies for investigating these questions.
The programme is also designed to equip students with the ability to conduct, evaluate and communicate outcomes of research, with a high degree of competence.

Admission Requirements
- Prospective students must hold a cognate Honours degree in Commerce or cognate Postgraduate Diploma at NQF level from an accredited institution or a SAQA equivalent qualification
- Write a personal letter of motivation. Submit letters of recommendation from the applicants employer or a reputable individual.
- To be considered via RPL, applicants should be above the age of 30 years.
