Developing the 21st Century Teacher

The Mancosa school of education through the iTEACHlab lab aims to cultivate 21st Century competencies among teachers. These include thinking competencies like critical and creative thinking, problem solving and decision-making. People competencies that include communication, collaboration, leadership, global- and cross-cultural. Finally, they include personal competencies like self-management, personal responsibility and learning how to learn


Teachers will be awarded a badge and a certificate for their participation in activities aimed at developing the highlighted competencies.

A Normal badge will be given to those who attend or participate in a specific activity in Hub. The Example above is for all the Hubs in the iTEACHLab including a steam for those teachers who participation in one unique activity in each of the seven Hubs. This badge is accompanied by a certificate of achievement.

Bronze 

A bronze badge will be given to those who attend or participate in 5 activities from each of the hub. This badge is accompanied by a certificate of achievement. The Example above is for the Robotics and coding Hub

Silver 

A silver badge will be given to those who attend or participate in 10 activities from each of the hubs This badge is accompanied by a certificate of achievement. The Example above is for the Robotics and coding Hub

Gold

A gold badge will be given to those who attend or participate in 15 activities from each of the hubs This badge is accompanied by a certificate of achievement. The Example above is for the Robotics and coding Hub
