The orientation for the MANCOSA Evening MBA programme, was held at the Mancosa [GSB] on the 12th March 2016. The aim of the new Executive MBA is to provide the students with tools and skills for essential leadership functions within their respective roles.
The purpose of the orientation was to familiarise the students with MANCOSA’s teaching and learning strategy and to inform them about their class schedules. It also provided the students with the chance to meet and network with fellow classmates.
The MBA student group provided rich opportunities for engagement as the group of students come from various industries such as manufacturing, banking, pharmacology, education and engineering.
The programme coordinator Prof Ankit Katrodia welcomed the students, followed by an address by the Academic Dean, Prof Enslin van Rooyen and the Director of Mancosa [GSB], Dr Zaheer Hamid. Dr Hamid assured the students of the availability and support from the strong academic team at MANCOSA. Prof Katrodia pledged MANCOSA’s continuous support to the students throughout their MBA journey and introduced the lecturers for the MBA modules. An MBA alumni, Mr Jason Barron, shared the experience of his MBA academic journey with MANCOSA and motivated the students to work smart and achieve their goals.
The students were later encouraged to ask questions which were responded to by the relevant academic staff. The orientation ended with a refreshment session giving the students a chance to mingle with other students and the academic team.
