On the 5 September 2017, MANCOSA’s senior executives attended the annual LeaderEx gathering which was held at the Sandton Convention Centre. MANCOSA’s exhibition at LeaderEx attracted significant attention from potential students as well as employers seeking management education and training solutions. This year, LeaderEX also provided a platform for critical conversations related to the coveted MBA programme, the state of entrepreneurship and the future of leadership.
Professor Zaheer Hamid, Director of Mancosa [GSB], participated through invitation, in an important discussion related to MBA programme delivery options. In South Africa and abroad, potential MBA candidates are presented with an assortment of programme structures and delivery options from various MBA providers. In this regard, Professor Hamid advised that the decision regarding an appropriate MBA programme needed to be in sync with an individual’s lifestyle and desire for work-life-balance. Professor Hamid added that other key considerations include the value proposition from the MBA provider as well as the ability of the MBA programme to enhance a graduate’s international mobility.
