Dispatch Officer : Cape Town

Goals of position:

The purpose of this position is to implement and ensure the building facilities are maintained efficiently and at a professional standard by providing support to day to day operations and assist with dispatching of module packs to registered students.

Core functions include:

  • Assist with ad hoc driving duties
  • Assist with airport transfers
  • Manage ordering process for office equipment
  • Assist with dispatch of module packs to students
  • Ensuring sufficient stock levels of module packs during registration periods
  • Liaising with head office re module pack orders
  • Solicit quotations
  • Ensure all weekly, monthly, bi-annually and annual maintenance services are done
  • Liaise with other branches re maintenance and assist accordingly
  • Assist with opening/closing of the MANCOSA office and assistance at weekend workshops


  • Senior Certificate
  • Relevant Facilities Management courses would be an advantageous


Minimum 1 years’ experience in operations/maintenance environment

Related knowledge, competencies and skills:

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Attention to detail and sound time management skills
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Project costing and budget control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Proactive
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Ability to motivate staff to excel at their jobs

  • Must be able to multi-task

Additional requirements:

  • Will be required to work overtime and during the weekends
  • Must have driver’s license
