The Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) is a FULLY ACCREDITED AND REGISTERED higher education institution that focuses on the design, development and delivery of management programmes. MANCOSA is a private higher education institution registered in terms of the Higher Educational Act (Act 101 of 1997). It was established in 1995 as a post-apartheid empowerment institution offering affordable and accessible management education primarily to persons previously denied access to post graduate education. MANCOSA has 100% Black ownership, i.e. it is owned entirely by previously disadvantaged individuals in the South African context.
MANCOSA has used its 15 years of experience in the field of supported distance learning to develop infrastructure, both physical and technological, to support its students. This, together with its vast network of academic and intellectual capacity in the region, MANCOSA is able to deliver quality and relevant management education to all its students.
The MANCOSA campus has a large complement of full-time academic faculty and administrative and support staff to adequately support the delivery of its programmes. Access to the most recent library and online resources ensures that the high quality programme offerings are complemented. In addition, MANCOSA has offices in Johannesburg, Polokwane, Mauritius, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Malawi. Strategic partnerships with institutions in these and other Southern African countries ensure that the highest quality and standards are maintained through an extensive network of training venues, centrally located, in most provinces of South Africa and throughout Southern Africa. These are managed through formal partnership agreements with other private and public higher education institutions.
MANCOSA aims to facilitate the narrowing of the skills gap by providing management education that is accessible, affordable and accredited. MANCOSA places a strong emphasis on providing education that is relevant to industry and regularly develops and revises its programmes of study in partnership with industry, government and professional bodies. This ensures that MANCOSA graduates are employable and prepared to make a positive contribution to development in their organisations and broader communities.
MANCOSA programmes cover areas of business administration, commerce, tourism management, functional management and leadership and range from Certificate programmes to Masters’ degrees.
